Our commitment to the Armed Forces Covenant
NHS Dorset Integrated Care Board (ICB) is committed to supporting the whole of the Armed Forces Community and recognises the value this community brings to our organisation. As an Employer Recognition Scheme Gold Award holder, we will endeavour to support this community in many ways through encouraging applications to our jobs through this site and ensuring these applications are considered should they meet the criteria required for the role. The transferrable skills and potential specific needs of military partners are recognised in our proposed Armed Forces Community policy, which also support additional paid leave for Reservists. The ICB will look at leave requests sympathetically for those who are partners of military personnel who have/are being deployed on exercise or operations, as well as supporting them to work from home where appropriate and consider flexible working.
