Our commitment to the Armed Forces Covenant:
Drive is an inclusive organisation who welcomes individuals regardless of their age, gender, race, disability etc. As an Equal Opportunities Employer, veterans, service spouses and dependents will not face any disadvantage when applying for jobs with us. Drive recognises the value of employing a wide range of staff who can bring their skills and experience to provide the people we support with the means to live their lives the way they want to live them.
Drive actively works with the CTP regarding employment vacancies and has attended service leaver’s events to promote the recruitment of service leavers into our organisation. We are a flexible employer, and this enables all employees to manage their work/life balance and to attend events such as Veterans Hub and other armed forces events. Drive supports any member of staff to join the Armed Forces Reserves should they wish to.
About us:
Drive is a ground-breaking, non-profit -making organisation, set up in 1981 to support people with a learning disability to move out of large institutions into ordinary housing in local communities as tenants in their own homes.
We provide support across South East Wales to people with learning disabilities, mental health issues, autistic spectrum conditions, physical disabilities, complex health needs, dementia, and people who can challenge services. We provide support to individuals, living independently or people sharing a household, to enable them to maintain tenancies with Registered Social Landlords.
We provide Domiciliary Care to people who need less support, either living with families or in their own homes. This includes provision for Short Breaks and activities during the day in the evenings or at weekends.
Our uniqueness lies in our passion for and commitment to co-production. We believe our approach raises the aspirations of families who are at the heart of planning support and developing our Vision. We strive to find creative ways to help people live the life they choose; ‘Your Life, Your Way’.
