Aspire Supported Living

Description

Our commitment to the Armed Forces Covenant

  • To champion the benefits of recruiting and employing a wide range of Military linked individuals. It is from this standpoint that many of the company’s service focused initiatives are born, most specifically the recruitment and current employment of Reservists.
  • As a part of the recruitment process Aspire has extensive discussions with Reservists to ensure the requirements they are subject to in their role are fully understood. These requirements are then fully considered in the job role once appointed.
  • Specific elements of support are offered, including the provision of up to 5 days extra leave (paid) and a further 10 days leave (unpaid) for new employees to meet their personal commitments to be an active Reservist.
  • Accessing the ex-military talent pool and endeavouring to recruit personnel with CV’s that match closely with the job requirement.
  • Working with the Career Transition Partnership (CTP) to establish a tailored employment pathway for service leaders by:
    • working closely with CTP and other recruitment services to advertise vacancies
    • recognising military skills and qualifications when interviewing for new positions
    • arranging voluntary placement, work experience and training for armed forces personnel if suitable volunteering opportunities arise
  • Positively seek out those individuals that are committed to being Cadet Force Adult Volunteers.HR Policies are adapted to ensure that any employed Cadet Force Adult Volunteers are provided the same level of support and flexibility that is afforded to Reservist staff. That being an additional 5 days leave (paid) and additional 10 days (unpaid), in order that they can meet their Military commitments.
  • Support employment of Service spouse and partners by attempting to find alternative employment within the business in another location.
  • Support own employees to be members of the Reserve Forces.
  • Liaise with MOD for applications.

About us

Aspire Supported living are a Community Interest Company providing Supported Housing Solutions to Disadvantaged Citizens right across the UK. We specialise in assisting citizens from backgrounds that include mental health concerns, homelessness, forensic background, addiction and ex-service personnel.

Within our Aspire Supported Living housing solution we incorporate far more than simple accommodation. At the heart of everything we do is a focus to the future, and in particular to helping our citizens move towards independence within it. Of course in order to achieve this we need to do more than hand over a set of keys. So with this in mind we work to provide Vocational Guidance, Training and Social Engagement alongside our basic Tenancy Related Support.

This broad spectrum of support, and a focus on the bigger picture of Long Term Independence, offered in conjunction with our above average Quality Housing Solutions, is what we believe sets Aspire Supported Living apart from the rest.
