Our commitment to the Armed Forces Covenant
Costain is an Armed Forces Covenant signatory and holds the Defence Recognition Scheme Gold award.
We actively encourage applications from candidates who have a relationship with the armed forces community whether as a currently serving member or reservist, ex-military or wounded personnel or as a member of a service family.
We have a Services and Services’ Families Network that brings together reservist, veterans, partners and those that have served in the blue light services through social channels and events. Working together with BuildForce and VETS we identify mentors to support individuals as they transition from their military environment into construction and industry.
We collaborate with our suppliers encouraging them to sign Armed Forces Covenant, supporting them through their Employer Recognition Scheme progression.
We have also given fundamental support to the Military Co-Working Network that supports groups of military partners who wanted somewhere they could go to work, study and learn together, rather than working in isolation from their kitchen table.
